The demand for hydrogen projects is increasing rapidly. H-TEC SYSTEMS is also experiencing this and is therefore investing massively in growth. To strengthen the management team, Robin von Plettenberg took over as CEO and CSO (Chief Sales Officer) in the first quarter of the year. Frank Zimmermann, as CFO and long-standing member of the management team at H-TEC SYSTEMS, is responsible for the commercial management. Other members of the management team are Marius Zasche (CTO and COO), Dr Dominik Heiß (EVP Strategy & Product) and Dr Joachim Hermann (EVP Innovation).
Strong management team drives development at H-TEC SYSTEMS
As CEO and CSO, Robin von Plettenberg is responsible for Strategy, Sales, Services and Marketing & Communication. An industrial engineer with a master's degree in philosophy, he initially worked as a management consultant focusing on the automotive and mechanical engineering industries at McKinsey in Berlin, Munich and New York. Robin von Plettenberg then held various positions at MAN Energy Solutions: Head of Strategy and M&A, Head of PrimeServ Industries, the aftersales division of the turbomachinery business, and Head of Turbomachinery.
In his new role at H-TEC SYSTEMS, he will implement the company's growth strategy. "H-TEC SYSTEMS is a pioneer in the field of PEM technology and has laid the foundation for many hydrogen projects that have already been successfully implemented. I am very much looking forward to accompanying H-TEC SYSTEMS on its enormously steep growth course. Business graduate Frank Zimmermann has been with H-TEC SYSTEMS GmbH since 2017 and successfully built up the business over the last five years as a member of the management board. In the new management board team, he now assumes the role of Chief Financial Officer. As CFO, Zimmermann is responsible for Finance, IT, HR and Legal. Before joining H-TEC SYSTEMS, he held executive positions at well-known technology groups. Frank Zimmermann brings great expertise in the context of M&A as well as relevant know-how in the field of strategy and change management.
Since March 2022, Marius Zasche has completed the Executive Board team as Chief Technology & Operations Officer (CTO / COO) of H-TEC SYSTEMS, where he has already been a member of the Advisory Board since 2020. He is responsible for innovation, development, and operations. Marius Zasche holds a degree in industrial engineering and has held various management positions at MAN Energy Solutions since 2008. Most recently, he was head of the newly created Components product line.
H-TEC SYSTEMS experienced colleagues complement management team
Dr Dominik Heiß joined the management team of H-TEC SYSTEMS in 2020 and was previously responsible for production and purchasing as COO. Since 2022, he oversees Strategy & Product as Executive Vice President. Before joining the company, he held various positions at MAN Energy Solutions SE, most recently responsible for the development and expansion of the energy storage business. A graduate in business administration with a doctorate in philosophy, he began his career as a management consultant and became acquainted with a wide range of different industries and companies. He has many years of experience, particularly in the areas of corporate strategy, M&A, product management and business development.
Dr Joachim Herrmann, who holds a doctorate in physics, has been a part of H-TEC SYSTEMS in various functions since 2010. Until 2018, he played a decisive role in shaping both the development of technology and the establishment of the company on the part of the then shareholder GP JOULE. Between 2018 and 2022, as CTO of H-TEC SYSTEMS, he was responsible, among other things, for the areas of development and production (until 2020). With the change in management, Dr Herrmann is Executive Vice President of H-TEC SYSTEMS GmbH and entrusted with the task of fuelling the innovative strength of all employees to further develop innovative products. Previously, Dr Herrmann was a research associate at the Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics for several years, focusing on systems and energy studies as well as urban energy supply.
